The Cassà de la Selva Town Council has received a grant from the Catalan Employment Service (SOC) of the Government of Catalonia for the incorporation of a Local Employment and Development Agent (AODL).
This specialized technical role has as its main and exclusive objective to develop a work plan focused on the consolidation and revitalization of the municipality’s economic fabric. Likewise, for the South Gironès – East Selva territory, positioning the area as a destination for economic activity investment, thereby strengthening the region and achieving levels of competitiveness that allow for talent retention and the generation of innovative and sustainable business projects.
The AODL (Local Employment and Development Agent) began their duties in January 2025, for a period of three years. This person will be responsible for the project and the development of the different lines of action, in conjunction with all involved stakeholders.
The main lines of work are:
- Systematizing information on industrial estates with a website that encompasses information on all industrial estates in the South Gironès – East Selva Axis.
- Establishing a registry of available plots and industrial units in PAE Cassà Oest.
- Establishing a registry of vacant commercial premises in the municipality of Cassà de la Selva intended for the establishment of new businesses, and developing training programs for industry workers.
- Promoting a steering group for the creation of a business association in Cassà de la Selva.
This initiative represents an important step for improving employment and supporting local businesses, and it is expected to implement actions that foster entrepreneurship, training, and collaboration among the municipality’s various economic stakeholders.
It is therefore a public-private collaboration initiative that will significantly contribute to the economic and productive growth of Cassà de la Selva and its surroundings, directly appealing to companies to participate in the activities that will be developed over these three years.
